Who We Are Looking For
Are you an enthusiastic dancer with a passion for nurturing talent and spreading the joy of dance? We're searching for a dynamic Dance Teacher to join our vibrant dance community. If you're ready to inspire and support students of all ages as they explore the world of dance, then we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
Candidates must demonstrate excellence in teaching and leadership in the following areas:

Develop and/or follow program curriculum, lesson plans, and teaching standards.

Create choreography tailored to each class's age and skill level, focusing on fun, style, musicality, and technique.
​

Lead engaging dance lessons that inspire and motivate students.
​

Provide constructive feedback and support to help students achieve their dance goals.
​

Plan and choreograph routines for performances, competitions, and showcases.
​

Organize and lead or prepare classes for rehearsals, workshops, conventions, competitions, and yearly trips.
​

Ensure adherence to safety standards and maintain a positive and inclusive atmosphere in the studio.
​

Attend collaborative team planning meetings, evaluations, and leveling discussions.
​

Carry out and follow all regulations and policies.
​

Set and Practice a professional code of conduct at all times.
Qualifications
Candidates must be proficient in the following areas:

3+ years of teaching or group-leading experience, preferably in dance education.​
​
-
Professional training and experience in dance genres such as ballet (including pointe work), tap, hip hop, jazz, acro, lyrical, contemporary, and/or musical theatre.​
​

Dance certifications preferred, or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.​
​

Proven ability to work with students of all ages and skill levels.​
​

Strong technology skills for effective instruction and program coordination.​
​

Organizational and time management abilities to maintain smooth studio operations.​​
​

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to talk and engage with young students.​
​

Enthusiasm, patience, and a genuine love for young people and the performing arts.​
​
-
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.​
​
-
First Aid (or willing to obtain) & Criminal Record Check.
Salary & Benefits
Expected Start Date: August / September 2024
Job Type: Full / Part Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday 2:00-9:15pm, possible Saturdays or Sundays TBD (full time)
Salary: $25.00-$45.00 (Negotiable based on experience and qualifications)
